Oh No! Ian “Lemmy” Kilmister has died.

Lemmy from Motorhead has passed away. I am speechless. Play some Motorhead and Hawkwind really loud in his honor. Upon arrival in the afterlife, Lemmy announced, “We are Motorhead. We play Rock & Roll. We are gonna kick your ass”. He and Philthy are together again. Fast Eddie can’t be too far behind… RIP Lemmy. Once again, I had women in my office asking me WTF I was playing on my phone. I simply said “Motorhead” and resumed working. I couldn’t bring myself to tell them that Lemmy had died. Here are some great Lemmy quotes:

“I don’t do regrets. Regrets are pointless. It’s too late for regrets. You’ve already done it, haven’t you? You’ve lived your life. No point wishing you could change it.” – via Classic Rock

“This entire generation seems to have become pussies, you know? Nobody seems to enjoy themselves much anymore. They are all knocking each other down for enjoying themselves.” – via a 1988 interview with David L. Wilson

“Death is an inevitability, isn’t it? You become more aware of that when you get to my age. I don’t worry about it. I’m ready for it. When I go, I want to go doing what I do best. If I died tomorrow, I couldn’t complain. It’s been good.” – via Classic Rock

RIP Lemmy. You deserve some peace and quiet.

RIP: Scott Weiland

CATAGORIES: REST IN PEACE,Rock & Roll — FloridaBill @ 8:16 am

Well, I guess everyone saw this one coming. Scott Weiland, lead singer from Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver was found dead on his tour bus. Cause of death is not yet know, but my guess is that he died from the same thing that killed his guitarist in the Wildabouts, multiple drug toxicity. He had a unique voice in Rock & Roll and it looks like cocaine has taken another one.

“Too much walking shoes worn thin
Too much trippin’ and my soul’s worn thin”

Time to take him home…
